History of the Moo Duk Kwan in Puerto RicoThe information presented here begins with the participation of Puerto Rico in the 50th Anniversary of the Moo Duk Kwan in Korea. But, it is important to mention that before this date, the Moo Duk Kwan already had presence on the island. This was due to Puerto Rican citizens’ participation in the United States Army. Many of our masters were stationed in Korea during the 1960’s. The Grandmaster Hwang Kee (R.I.P.) extended an invitation to all practitioners of Moo Duk Kwan, Tang Soo Do, and Soo Bahk Do to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Moo Duk Kwan in Korea. In this event, various world organizations and Puerto Rican organizations attended this event, representing their style names used during this time. Along these were Master Lopez, Master Alayon, Master Jaime Lazú, and instructor Mr. Rosado.
